Mirka Pad Protectors safeguard the base plate of the Orbital Sander from wear and tear when sanding aggressively and continuously.

Mirka Pad Protectors also protect the sander backing pad when removing worn out discs as it is the Pad Protector 'hook and loop' that wears out, not the backing pad.
